“Boxcar” has 2 significant meanings here in the mountains of Colorado. To Aspenites, it usually refers to the East facing run in the Highland Bowl, also known as B6. In the Telluride area of the San Juan Mountains, it refers to a mesmerizing couloir on the beautiful Mount Wilson (14,246 ft). A ski descent of the Boxcar Couloir is a classic test-piece for ski mountaineers.
