Founded by two kayakers who were determined to avoid getting “real” jobs, Jon Kahn and Jess McGee literally lived in the shop’s basement until the business took off. Since 1998, Confluence Kayak & Ski has been owned and operated by Jon Kahn, growing organically from humble beginnings to our current home in the historic Zang Brewery building off Water Street, directly across from the Aquarium.
